Training for Businesses

Training built for the work your people do.

Tell us what needs to change at work. We design the course, build every session and deliver it to your employees.

Every course is designed and checked by a person.

Useful training changes what happens at work the next day.

The brief

The course starts with the business problem.

Start with the work. Tell us where people are getting stuck and what better performance looks like. RubyRoo turns that into clear learning outcomes, realistic practice and materials that fit the way your business operates.

If an off-the-shelf course already does the job, commissioning a new one wastes your budget. We'll tell you. The work begins when your people need something more specific.

The detail

What RubyRoo can build and deliver.

01

Business Training Course Design

A complete course for one defined business need.

You bring the problem and the people affected by it. RubyRoo sets the learning outcomes, structures the course and creates the materials your trainer needs.

Discuss a training course
  • A focused brief tied to the business need
  • Learning outcomes based on what employees need to do at work
  • Course structure and session sequence
  • Facilitator plans with timings and delivery notes
  • Slides, activities, handouts and participant resources
  • A clear handover for your internal trainer

Scope and price are agreed before work begins. You own the finished materials once the project is complete and paid for.

02

Workshop Content

One useful session for a clearly defined problem.

Sometimes a team needs one concentrated session rather than a full programme. RubyRoo builds the workshop around the decision, skill or behaviour that needs attention.

Build a workshop
  • A session plan with timings and trainer notes
  • Presentation slides in your branding or RubyRoo branding
  • Activities based on situations employees recognise
  • Participant handouts and resources
  • A version your team can deliver again

Choose content development only, or ask RubyRoo to deliver the workshop for you.

03

Live Training Delivery

Training delivered to your employees online or in person.

Kim runs sessions that give people time to try the work, talk through awkward cases and ask the questions a generic slide deck leaves behind.

Plan live training
  • Online or in-person delivery
  • A one-off workshop or a connected series
  • Examples adapted to the roles in the room
  • Practical activities during the session
  • Resources employees can use afterwards

Group size, location and delivery format are agreed as part of the scope.

04

Learning Checks and Follow-up

A practical way to see what people can use after the session.

RubyRoo can add knowledge checks, workplace activities and manager prompts to the course. They give you something more useful than an attendance list.

Add learning checks
  • Knowledge checks tied to the course outcomes
  • Workplace activities for employees to complete
  • Action plans for use after the session
  • Manager prompts for follow-up conversations
  • Feedback questions focused on usefulness at work

Follow-up is scoped around the course and the evidence your business actually needs.

Who delivers it

Kim has spent 14+ years designing and teaching practical programmes.

Kim is a curriculum designer, marketer and teacher. She knows how to take a complicated subject and turn it into a session people can use during a working day.

She also knows when training won't fix the problem. If the real issue is a broken process, weak management or a decision nobody wants to make, you'll get that answer before anyone books a room.

What people say

What it is like to learn and work with Kim.

Kim not only inspired me to learn everything I could from her module, but I was always impressed in the way in which Kim facilitated participation from such a diverse selection of students. It is very clear to see that teaching is not just a job to Kim, she really does care about the success of those around her and I for one am extremely grateful for all the advice she has very kindly offered me.

KP
Kelly Pressley Former undergraduate student of Kim's, UWE

Kim was key to helping me shape the vision and values of our startup. Her one-on-one sessions with me gave me the space and guidance to fine-tune and dive deep into our mission's core purpose. Her ability to provide strategic insights while supporting practical execution significantly impacted our growth and direction.
